It appears that being a perfect Stepford Wife isn’t quite all it’s cracked up to be and Joanna has to figure it out quickly if she wants to avoid becoming one! In our eighth episode, we take some photos in Shutter!
In this 2008 film, we follow newlyweds as the husband pursues a new career opportunity in Japan for photography however something keeps ruining his photos. The wife believes the blurry photos are the result of a tragic accident they had when they first arrived and hit a girl in the road. As tension builds and people close to them start getting attacked, she fears this may be the girl's revenge for her untimely death.

FeardotCom and the Real Life Horrors of the Internet

In our third installment of our technology season, we trudge through yet another flop, known as FeardotCom. This was not an easy watch but we do love talking about bad movies!
 
In this 2002 horror film, we follow detective Mike Reilly and Terry Huston as they research the mysterious deaths of four people that all died 48 hours after logging on to a website named feardotcom.com. Despite numerous red flags, they jump in head first and visit the site themselves. Essentially, it's two not fully fleshed out plots with a vengeful ghost killing people that visit a website and her sadistic murderer torturing and killing people on another site for views. Sounds weird, right? Listen along as we try to understand what's all going on here and honestly tear it to shreds! The Lost Boys and Vampire Covens

In our thirteenth episode, we save our mom from a vampire… again in The Lost Boys and discuss the reasoning behind vampire covens.
In this 1987 American horror-comedy film, we follow two brothers as they move with their mother to the fictional town of Santa Carla, also dubbed the Murder Capital of the World. We follow Michael as he falls for a local girl named Star that is caught up in biker gang that are also vampires. Therefore, his younger brother Sam and two self proclaimed vampire hunters must join forces to save them from the undead. Despite the title, she is not the victim but actually the person who should be feared. 30 Days of Night and the Plunge into Darkness

In our eleventh episode, we hide from bloodthirsty vampires in 30 Days of Night.
In this 2007 horror film, based on the comic book series of the same name, the plot revolves around a group of people trapped in a remote Alaskan town during the winter solstice, where they must fight for their survival against a horde of bloodthirsty vampires. We're not sure what started this crazy fad with having vampires in cold climates but we are not here for it. We get that they need to avoid the sun but Alaska seems a bit extreme.
Although 30 days of night is a cool concept, we were ultimately disappointed with the overall execution and characters. Listen along to hear why we think it doesn't work and how not to be a liability in a vampire apocalypse situation.

Originally named the Bride, the 2022 American horror thriller The Invitation, was said to be inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula. This film is about a young woman who, following the death of her mother, meets a long lost family member and joins him at a wedding weekend only to discover later on that she's the intended bride.
