Before Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Good Place or even Frozen; Kristen Bell stared in a 2006 remake of the Japanese film Pulse and it was just okay. Honestly, it wasn't our cup of tea but it was a blast to talk about!

In our thirteenth episode, we save our mom from a vampire… again in The Lost Boys and discuss the reasoning behind vampire covens.
In this 1987 American horror-comedy film, we follow two brothers as they move with their mother to the fictional town of Santa Carla, also dubbed the Murder Capital of the World. We follow Michael as he falls for a local girl named Star that is caught up in biker gang that are also vampires. Therefore, his younger brother Sam and two self proclaimed vampire hunters must join forces to save them from the undead. Stay tuned for the discussion afterwards as we weigh the pros and cons of vampires living in covens versus striking out on their own.

In our twelfth episode, we walk home alone at night in A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and discuss the archetype of the femme fatale. 
In the black and white 2014 Iranian American vampire film, a cloaked female vampire stalks the street of the fictional Iranian Bad City looking for unsavory men that she deems are worth killing. Despite the title, she is not the victim but actually the person who should be feared. So stick around as we interpret the end of this story, discuss the inspiration for the femme fatale archetype and how it’s used in this film.

In our eleventh episode, we hide from bloodthirsty vampires in 30 Days of Night.
In this 2007 horror film, based on the comic book series of the same name, the plot revolves around a group of people trapped in a remote Alaskan town during the winter solstice, where they must fight for their survival against a horde of bloodthirsty vampires. We're not sure what started this crazy fad with having vampires in cold climates but we are not here for it. We get that they need to avoid the sun but Alaska seems a bit extreme.
Although 30 days of night is a cool concept, we were ultimately disappointed with the overall execution and characters. Listen along to hear why we think it doesn't work and how not to be a liability in a vampire apocalypse situation.

In our seventh episode, we film a documentary on the day in the life of a group of vampire flatmates and discuss why vampires and werewolves are enemies.
In this 2014 horror comedy documentary, What We Do in the Shadows, gives the viewer an inside look at the lives of some vampires in New Zealand. Originally named the Bride, the 2022 American horror thriller The Invitation, was said to be inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula. This film is about a young woman who, following the death of her mother, meets a long lost family member and joins him at a wedding weekend only to discover later on that she's the intended bride. Listen along as we discuss, yet again, another case of stranger danger and the bizarre nature of this movie's plot.

In our second episode, we discuss the possibility of becoming human again after being a vampire through other sources of media and the difficult journey, our movie of the week, experienced getting through production.
Loosely based on the 1954 novel of the same name, I Am Legend follows a US Army Virologist known as Robert Neville as he remains the sole survivor in New York City, as most of the population are mutants created by a virus that was meant to cure cancer.
